About Me, Paul Goodchild, and a Life In Balance

by Paul Goodchild

A Balanced Life

Life is about living, the collection of experiences and memories that are best had when they’re shared.

This site is for you to explore someone else’s approach to life and see what they’ve picked up along the way.

I’m trying to develop a lifestyle that is not dependent on any particular location, and one that allows me to pursue any personal goals and dreams as I like.

To achieve this required a shift in world view – away from the contemporary need for things and possessions.

Minimalism is about priorities

How do you know when you’re going the right way?

When everyone is heading in the opposite direction.

We serve ourselves and others best when we prioritise that which is most important – for most of us, that’s people.  Is this minimalism?

Yes. Minimalism is a term that has recently been overused and misunderstood, I feel.

Minimalism is not a quest towards zero

“I go Into The Wild” (with my laptop)

I travel and live in different places around the world, building my business, learning new languages, and developing my web and technical skills.

All I need is my laptop and an Internet connection. This site will share personal growth experiences, travel diary type writings, volunteer & philanthropic roles and adventures, and of course technical web and computing tips and how-tos.

Who is Paul Goodchild?

  • IT & technology tips and information,
  • some of my health and fitness tips/experience,
  • personal development insights
  • a travel diary of sorts and my volunteering experience
  • and most significant of late, how I’m building an online business.

Consider the following quote from a song…

There’s those thinking more or less, less is more.

But if less is more, how are you keeping score?

Means for every point you make your level drops,

Kinda like you’re starting from the top.

You can’t do that.

P.S. To listen to the song from which the above quotation came, see below.
